Saggart Community Centre

FLYNN Architects are providing conservation consultancy services to IDOM Architects and South Dublin County Council for the on-going repairs to the former St. Mary’s National School building in Saggart, which will be extended and converted to a community centre.

The schoolhouse was built in 1937 as part of an extensive programme of school building by the Board of Works. It is of architectural and technical interest with progressive, modern and nationalist aspirations embodied in its craftsmanship, materials and details.
